Hi! My name is Melissa and I am super excited to be participating in Prancing with the Stars with the Oakville Milton Humane Society in November this year!
I believe that stepping outside of your comfort zone by trying new things, meeting new people, giving back to our communities and doing things that scare you a little but EXCITE you a lot are the key to growth and fulfillment! I have always been interested in dancing, but of course being a mother of two and running a business, sometimes personal interests come last… not to mention, I am terrified of performing a choreographed dance in public! What better way to overcome my fear than to do exactly that, while supporting a fabulous cause!
I have two kids, Braiden 14 and Lauren 12 and they have been begging me for the last 4 years to get a dog and just recently, we welcomed our new puppy; Maizey, a Doberman Pincer to our family! Maizey has already brought so much love, joy and togetherness. We love her so much, I cannot imagine not having her in our lives. When I found out that the OMHS was putting together this event, I was immediately drawn to help, as my heart feels that every animal deserves a loving home, just as every home deserves a loving animal.
I want to continue to lead by example for them so I am committed to raising $7,000 and dancing to make a difference for these precious animals.
The Oakville Milton Humane Society is dedicated to making life better for animals and connecting the communities that care about them. Please support me and the OMHS in helping the animals and making a difference!
