I joined Prancing with the Stars because I saw it as a
fun and meaningful way to support animals—especially dogs, who’ve always played
a big role in my life. I currently work with the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog
Guides, and I’ve spent years in environments where dogs aren’t just
pets—they’re partners, helpers, and family. The chance to raise funds for a
local organization that helps animals, while stepping out of my comfort zone to
dance; I couldn’t say no.
What interests me most about the
Oakville & Milton Humane Society is their role in giving dogs a second
chance. I’ve spent a lot of time around dogs—working with them, training them,
and living with them—and I know how much potential they have when they’re given
the right care and environment. I respect that the Humane Society is there for
dogs when they don’t have anywhere else to go. That kind of work matters.
Most people had the same
reaction: "You’re dancing?” followed by a laugh—but it’s all in good fun. Once
they understood the cause and what the event supports, they were completely on
board. I’ve had people already offer to donate and come watch the performance.
I think they’re as curious as they are supportive!
I’m passionate about living a meaningful and grounded
life. That starts with being there for the people I care about—my family and
close friends—but also extends into the kind of person I try to be every day:
honest, kind, and reliable. I’ve always believed in doing right by others, even
when no one’s watching. Outside of that, football (soccer) and music are big
parts of who I am. Whether I’m on the field or just listening to a great track,
they both give me a sense of joy and connection that’s hard to explain—but easy
to feel.
I live with my chocolate Lab,
Elska. She’s full of energy, endlessly curious, and has a way of making any day
better. Her goofy antics and expressive butt wiggles never fail to make me
laugh. She’s a reminder of why I care so deeply about animal welfare—every dog
deserves a chance to be loved and safe.
